Somerset Wincanton Area 14.6.2026 Sunday Land Type: Arable

New Land: Pasture New Fields

Acres: 50 acres minimum

Parking: Field 4x4 Cars  / Hard Standing

Detecting Starts: 9:00 – 17:00

  1. All holes to be filled no matter the land conditions.
  2. Earphones to be worn at all times.
  3. All rubbish to be removed and not left in hole.
  4. Any hoard finds or treasure items are to be reported to our admin who will advise you on what to do and take charge of any extraction.
  5. Please DO NOT attempt to remove such items on your own as you may disturb important historical information and will be breaking the law.
  6. All finds of interest to be shown and recorded by your FLO.
  7. All detectorists must carry a finds pouch/bag to collect all their metal finds.
  8. Respect the land and the landowner’s wishes. Close any gates you open and do not disturb livestock.
  9. Attendees must never detect on Ancient Monuments, Scheduled Monuments, or Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSIs).
  10. Stay within any marked areas and do not trespass onto any land for which permission has not been granted.
  11. If a detectorist has confirmed attendance but cannot attend, they must inform the organisers by email as soon as possible.
  12. Anyone caught breaking these terms will be asked to leave and banned from future events.

By paying and booking for any of our digs, you agree to the terms and conditions above.

You also agree to a 50/50 split with the landowner on all items deemed as treasure.

Any non-treasure item with a value of £1000 or more is also to be split 50/50.

These terms are not negotiable, though in some cases the landowner may make their own request — this will be stated clearly in the dig description.
