What is an FLO?
A Finds Liaison Officer (FLO) is a museum professional who records and identifies finds. They work with detectorists and museums to preserve local history.
✉️ How to Report a Find
Email your local FLO with photos and your grid reference.
⚖️ What is Treasure?
- Objects over 300 years old with at least 10% gold or silver.
- Two or more coins from the same find.
- Items found with other treasure.
You must report treasure to the coroner within 14 days.
Recording All Finds
The Portable Antiquities Scheme encourages recording all archaeological finds, helping preserve local and national heritage.
